With how far advanced the waste removal is, blitzing the mining of Grants and having a massive ROM is into the financially and operationally possible options. It would however require taking the ROM to well past 1mt and if any blending from ROM is being done, would make that difficult because the entire ROM pad would be stacked full to overflowing.
If clearing Grants of open pit ore is in the $30-$40m cost range, its something Core could afford. It would take cash down to lower levels, but for perhaps another two years, ore could be processed that has no cash mining cost. This would enable rebuild of cash or that cash to be reapplied to other project capital costs. This blitz option would have been more likely if Lucas wasn't removing gear.
