Interesting to listen to David Roche of Independent Strategy claiming that Netanyahu's attack of Iran's Syria embassy which provoked the Iranian drone and missile attacks serve to keep him in power and serves his interests in 2 ways
(1) Achieving victory in defending Israel against the Iranian attack help him gain domestic credibility
(2) Now the US would hand over fist deliver new additional financial aid to Israel.

In the short run, this serves to entrench Netanyahu's domestic political power even at the expense of a protracted war.

This is why I said leaders bent on keeping themselves in power at the expense of everything else, including the security and well being of his people, are extremely dangerous.

And there is certainly parallels between the Israeli leader and the other leader who wants the US presidency at all costs.
