Looks like a great acquisition. Pro active and strategic.
Key points
- Acquisition to be earnings accretive and aligned with Macmahon’s strategic focus to diversify earnings
- Accelerate Macmahon’s civil infrastructure growth
- Fully funded from existing cash reserves (including recently announced equipment sale proceeds), plus an extension of existing debt facilities, with gearing and leverage ratio to remain within internal guiderails.
- Net debt at the end of FY25 is not expected to increase due to the acquisition
- Pipeline of resource civil infrastructure and rehabilitation opportunities while diversifying earnings towards renewables and infrastructure, which areboth expected to have an increased level of spending in the next decade.
Feels like MAH have moved on from that historical weight of underperformance and weak communication which has plagued shareholder perception and confidence over the last few years. Their recent financial performance has been very good and seems that they really are on the up and up.
