There isn't many of them that you can trust. They all talk their own book. They publish free advice for a reason and its worth every cent you pay for it.
With regard to today's announcement, sorry to say I did have to laugh. I recall the announcement last year and making the comment "The only problem with one offs is that there a new ones every year". So today the one-offs do keep coming, ie "This result included a one-off after tax adjustment of $19 million".
Anyhow its pleasing that some of the worst case predictions were wrong.
