The High Endurance Rapid Technology Insertion (HERTI) Project seeks to develop the first civilian certified Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for civil applications. The BAE Autonomous Systems Division is developing the HERTI UAV flight computer and mission management systems. HERTI aspires to be the first UAV to be certified under civil certification regulations, and to set the framework for future UAV certification and operations."

Now look at this from the link I gave,

The company has 40 people working full-time on UAV related projects, including two recently awarded Capability and Technology Demonstrator (CTD) contracts funded by Defence to the tune of about $2.5 million each: for Decentralised Data Fusion (DDF) and to explore a Future UAV for Reconnaissance and ***Interdiction*** (FURI).

FURI will likely be the first in a series of UAV-related CTDs addressing Defence's perceived knowledge or technology gaps associated with the anticipated Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) element of project Air 6000. FURI itself and its successors will explore a variety of technology domains including stealthy tactical datalinks and EW targeting.

Like I said before. I googled Interdiction and got this,
"air interdiction Air operations conducted to*** destroy, neutralize, or delay***"

That to me means arming them IMHO, and yes In my opinion it would not be such a great leap of faith to think that metalstorm may be in there? and as they say these first CTD's are the precursor to address technology gaps for the UCAV's.
Some may think differently? but why in the hell did they hire this woman with all these creds in exactly the right areas?
