IMO kind of a slow leaner as it cost the company almost all that US$40.
They took the typical 'we know better than the Yanks" approach and blew it.
They could have bought numerous producing properties, joined JV's such as with BEXP and Carrizo all those years ago and done it the smart way, but they didn't.
AZZ would have been a $3 or $4 stock with fewer shares on issue.
No priae is needed for a $40 million mistake that almost killed the company.
