I take it you are in the early stages of investing Dott?
And imo thats a healthy thing to have such doubts over what might appear to be such obvious investments.
I fact NO investment should be seen as OBVIOUS and one should go over and over and over and over the company annmnts,presentations,project info etc etc until you know them initimately.
Downside risk to me is that this does not happen as quickly as the company has in the presentations and timelines.In fact this is always an issue with such companies/investments and its probably why CCC is hedging their bets by stating 10Mt by 2015.
It may well be 2013/2014 by the time this kind of figure is reached but if this company pushes things as it is pushing now and hitting targets as they are then it instills confidence they can do it with their larger plans.
Put the combined knowledge of Don Turvey and his new management with these assets and the apparent drive the company should have with these new cash injections and the contractual contract backing of EDF and one starts to build a picture of the POTENTIAL.
CCC is about taking the market opportunity now in regards to thermal coal and its no doubt why Don Turvey has joined the CCC/Mashala crews and the access it brings to capital to enable quick development of these projects.
Like Ive said in a couple of recent posts Dott,its about comparative market cap value and the confidence you have in where you think the company will be going in the future.
If you're a little concerned over some numbers that posters are coming up with atm such as 50c+ then add your own discount.I'll often discount such hyped sp's by 50% if I dont know a lot about the stock.BUT if I know as much as I do about CCC and Im starting to hit some higher POTENTIAL production figures as early as THE COMPANY is presenting in presentations atm but they are still quoting 2015 for 10Mt+ then perhaps it would be wise to think we might see 5Mt by 2012 and 10Mt by 2014.
But then dont forget Botswana!
