Seems this thread is descending fast into unfettered personal abuse of posters whose thoughts others hate, and slurs on Aussie troops, past and present.

I presented the chance of people signing a petition if they wished protesting against this scandulous action being brought against several troops, over their action during a severe fire-fight, who were fighting for their lives, and those of their mates. The author of this petition was interviewed on MTR radio by Chris Smith the other day, and though I didn't hear the whole interview he doesn't sound like an idiot or an impostor to me. You either choose to sign it - or ignore it if you wish. If you doubt HIS credentials call MTR radio producers, or send Chris Smith an e-mail asking for his credentials.

I've being labelled a liar by Dave R and now see the same inferences from someone called Mark something or other, who believes that the "skeleton" POW's who were shipped back to OZ during WW2 to somehow live and resume their lives should just adopt HIS mindset regarding any war, which should be that "S Happens! (A word I thought was forbidden by Mods on HC BTW Mark!) I think your post was atrocious frankly.

The Japanese just happened to starve and torture our troops and citizens (Singaporeans, etc) to death did they Mark? The Nazis just happened to gas and starve people in concentration camps? The Burma railroad tragedy was just another glitch on the screen of history?

And now the Taliban (or the TALIBAND!) just happen to prop themselves in some desert hovel with an innocent family, kmowing darn well they would be injured or killed, callously using them as human shields unbeknown to our troops, (Cowards as they usually are) - and fire away ad nauseum at our soldiers with their Kalishnakovs. I note not ONE word of crticism of ANY Taliban tactic or their dirty filthy "war" tactics from anyone. And yes, there ARE no uniforms.

Labor have been in power for three years now, so it's them
who are in charge, and them who would be approving and overseeing her actions, not Howard - or Alfred Deakin for that matter! This woman should be scrutined for her decisions, and the reasons she is making them.

As for thumbs - people can give them or take them away. I don't have any control over it. Post what I think - on a democratic forum - just as you do. Whether it makes me right or wrong - or you right or wrong - it's all an opinion.
