Wow thats some pretty specific and confident remarks there by Simon Garing. Also from the general article as well.

I cannot understand why CER would actually decide to have a capital raising in the near future. Does anyone think that this is actually possible while CNP owns so many shares?

My only thoughts are that for this to be possible and CNP to allow it, during the separation of CER / CNP. CER will also break into 2 entities (maybe USA and AUS, maybe in a different way) and from this CNP will choose to hold a majority in only one of the entities, thus allowing a capital raising of the other.

Is this a possibility or am i just going nuts? Does anyone else have ideas / methods that would be possible for allowing CER to capital raise, or does everyone believe that due to general market stabilisation it wont happen at all.

On another note, yes it is great to see more of those hedges being closed out. This in itself is very positive news.
