The protest directed at GR is not also directed towards (BHP/Anglo)GEMCO for this "simple" reason. (for those that asked). Currently GEMCO at this time has given no indication that they plan to carry out exploration of the waters surrounding Groote Eylandt with the view to seabed mine. GEMCO at this time are not threatening to destroy a pristine marine environment which is home to endangered protected marine life.
GR however have made it clear from the investor information available on their website that they do intend to explore/seabed mine. GR have also failed to show any sensitivity towards the cultural and spiritual significance the sea country surrounding Groote Eylandt has to the Traditional owners in the publishing of this investor information. GR is threatening to potentially destroy a marine environment containing endangered marine life. Should GEMCO show interest in Seabed mining in the future you could be assured that they also would become a target of a seabed mining protest along with GR.
I hope this resolves any question you had relating to this issue.
