The reason the offtake is coined "entitled to" instead of "must purchase" is if the situation arises, like it has now, where PLL weren't able to sell all of their entitlement, due to low demand (for example, they only have some 70,000 tonnes on their own offtakes with Tesla and LG Chem right now) then they weren't cornered into committing cash to unsold product. It's a simple de-risking measure. This actually helps protect SYQ as well, as then they are not forcibly producing spodumene that isn't required, uneconomically.
