Problem is our draconian rental laws. Should we have longer term stability for leases yep but it should also be indexed to market demand. We also need better laws to protect good tenants and good landlords - very hard and costly to get rid of dirt bag tenants and they get away scott free when they should have a massive debt over their head to pay for their damaage.
