South Korea future spodumene demand:

Back-of-the-Envelope Calculation:

POSCO Chemical: Around 640,000 tons by 2030.
LG Energy Solution: Approximately 344,000 tons by 2025.
Samsung SDI: About 240,000 tons by 2030.
SK Innovation: Roughly 400,000 tons by 2030.

Total: 1,624,000 tons sc6

vs Current spodumene demand:

POSCO Chemical: Approximately 320,000 tons.
LG Energy Solution: About 104,000 tons.
Samsung SDI: Around 40,000 tons.
SK Innovation: Roughly 48,000 tons.

Total: 512,000 tons sc6

For South Korea Alone, we are going to need 2 Renard Plants by 2030:

A spodumene processing plant with a capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), assuming a 1.4% lithium content and an 80% recovery rate, would be able to produce approximately 466,667 tonnes of spodumene concentrate (SC6) annually.
