nooo I am sure it is not chipboard. We brought a very battered Georgian Mahogany dinning table from England, one leg is still dodgy, but it folds up and now my daughter has it. Our friend who stayed with us for several years used something on our old furniture, which brought it up beautifully ??oil.Danish?? If I remember I will tell you all. It was amazing. I would rather have beautiful solid brown decent furniture than crap IKEA stuff.
