The annexation easily refutes your assertion about NOT being about stealing land - you can't assert that when that is exactly what russia are doing ....stealing Ukrainian land ....ever more .....do you deny they were trying to take Odesa too ? thety were aiming to take Kyiv not to make Ukraine neutral ......but to either take it over or control it politicaly - as evidenced by the stated objective to remove the elected govt in Ukraine .
