This is a shocker, but it's only one of several like reports to come out recently. The first reaction is the government, meaning Albanese, has to do something. But I think it needs more than that, probably a special Premiers' Conference so that none of the governments can hide from it. I think the rental accommodation situation is probably the worst since the post-WW2 years and there would be a number of contributing factors: - govts don't seem to be building rental housing like they once did - immigration is too high - air bnb is reducing supply - other costs of living are impacting housing affordability
