Yup, the initial discovery was made in January 2024 (Mopane 1X)
Followed up with a second discovery in March 2024 (Mopane 2X), which was 8km away.
Now, it flow tested at circa 14,000 eq barrels per day. All done within 4 months; and completed offshore too.
In contrast, within the same timeline, IVZ haven't even ordered the equipment to drill deeper and conduct the flow test!!!
It goes to show you, when a company knows they have discovered something good. They "quickly" mobilize the necessary equipment to unravel it.
Note, the "actions" taken or lack thereof between the two projects.
And their (SEI) share price up 42% last night. And GALP up 21%
