I wasn't talking about immigration, I was talking about the net housing shortfall.
Look at dwellings built vs population growth, there's been a deficit each year for decades.
It's about the imbalance between supply & demand but it's worse than that because the cumulative shortfall has increased every year.
It's got a point where it's now impossible to eliminate that cumulative shortfall without drastic actions & unpopular decisions.
As I posted before none of the politicians have the balls to do enough to solve the housing issue.
No Rudd didn't keep the levels reasonable, he's the one who opened the floodgates to international students with easy routes to permanent visas via dodgy university courses.
