Apologies my error. the shares are franked only 25% and the franking credits are only 0.017 cents. Hence the deal of buying shares now is pointless. As you said, put your money in the bank high interest account and you’ll make a lot more.
Spoke to Link direct, who confirmed the above and the 25% franking credits are still awaiting a ruling from the ATO.
Wonder why these people are buying shares for peanuts. It’s just not worth it.
