They did capture some of the right vote but lost the far left of their vote to the greens.

It a dangerous game they are playing to win government you need to occupy the centre , sad thing is the centre has moved to the right and the over sensational commercial press has been largely responsible for this shift.

If they keep moving to the right they may as well rename themselves the Liberal Party.

That would mean the Liberal Party could be rebadged as one nation as that appears to be where they are headed.
