problems seemed to stem from exorbitant spending for a drilling campaign on the pit which was pointless as we had not even started increasing the throughput properly - i suspect that drilling was a hail mary as they knew the grade was alot lower than they had predicted.
Regardless the decision to stop funding - which subsequently still allowed a small team to run the mine for MONTHS without funding will bite management later.
