I remember standing on the River Kwai bridge in Thailand and a Japanese tourist approached me and wanted to shake my hand and his mate get a photo.
At first I thought shouild I shake his hand or toss him off the bridge..I chose the latter and glad I did. I like to think that photo is hanging up in a Japanese home somewhere and has significance in their lives.

The Weary Dunlop museum in Kanchanaburi will turn your guts up and make you hate Japanese forever.

But the Japs alive now didn't do those terrible things.

They were cruel bastards though.....
