Paul declared that Jesus is Lord, that He inferred that Jesus was the cause of Creation and so on. He indicated that Faith and Grace required no need for deeds and these teachings seem contrary to the words of Christ.
So you tell me where this belief of Jesus being God came from. It's not explicit in the scripture but there is an indication that led to the belief and it all comes through Paul.
