Thanks @bedger, as you say, ACI does require the involvement of a surgeon - although it is minimally invasive keyhole surgery for the biopsy and implantation. We will have to see how that affects the take-up of ACI generally.
I might not have been clear in my post but I meant to say it clearly that ATI does not need the involvement of a surgeon - only ultrasound guided needle.
I definitely agree that physios and sports specialists should be targeted as far as marketing is concerned.
This may have been done, I just don't know.
My feeling is it will take a high-profile sports person to have a successful ACI or ATI procedure done before wider awareness comes about.
