OK, there seem to have been a few interesting comments lately.

"What on earth does that garble mean? "

Redflow, based on the 15 March 2024 Investor Update Webinar, now have a higher volume injection moulding machine in the Chonburi factory, an older but very common series machine from Haitian. Slightly higher capacity or newer than this machine, not certain how the model numbers work but it is a MA series machine.

Of nil relevance to a person who has never been a shareholder but for the rest of us this might help to explain why Redflow would not spend more on automating Chonburi at present if the current CR does raise sufficient funds. It should now be possible to create separator ribs and other needs as they arise, or as programmed, depending on whether other moulds have been built.

The machine Tim Harris is standing in front of in the Brisbane workshop I suspect is a generation 4 version, the latest release models are generation 5, what version and how many wind up in the proposed new factory here, time will tell. If the factory gets built the numbers of injection moulding machines will depend on demand, rather like the need to design a larger battery, or mass produce stacks at one site to meet global demand.

"Redflow batteries should be forced to be installed with bundling. Especially considering the documented failures of their tanks."

Yes, that, just possibly, would be the case in pretty much any country that has rules around prevention or mitigation of toxic leaks of many different things, no force, just legislation.

But more to the point smile.png

My view is they might not be shipped with the plastic bund if there is the intention to place the battery in a situation where there is a common bund for all batteries, perhaps of a design that is defined by local legislation.

And for those who like to think that Redflow has never or will never have the expertise to either resolve issues as they arise, or prevent them by process or design, for starters take a look at the expanded LinkedIn entries for last 2 people taken on in the leadership team.

    Dinner calls.
