Complete nonsense. JZ repeatedly missed guidance about EIA approval, because he absolutely did not anticipate the stringency applied. Some individuals will go to any length to paint a positive picture. If RIO spends five or six years obtaining a permit for their expansion, will this imply a more rigorous process than AGY's, setting an even higher standard for community expectations?
If AGY's EIA was approved within 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, everyone would have praised the company's efficiency and "fast track" approach. However, with a drawn-out approval process of around 3 years, efforts are now being made to portray this significant delay as a positive. You can roll a turd in glitter mate, but it still stinks.
Some of the discussions on these threads have inflated the significance of the EIA approval, only to be confronted with reality when the share price barely budged, contrary to widespread expectations of a surge post-approval. It is what it is, but now it's crunch time and there is no more blaming the Salta Government for the company's inability to progress.
Responsibility now lies squarely with JZ and Pablo.
