I don't have a problem with the concept of a resource tax for high profits but it should have kicked in at say 15% instead of the bond rate and the money should be put into a sovereign wealth fund for the future. The implementation was totally botched, an absolute disaster and it makes it that much more difficult to implement sensible tax reform in the future.
