    "there is no happy medium
the basic premises behind labor and the coalition are completely different and incompatible
the premise for labor is based on collective ownership, socialism and communism
the basic premise behind the coalitions way of thinking is selfishness

selfishness fits better with free markets than collective thinking

Labor should just say they are communists and be done with it
they have no right talking about the free market because it is only an after thought"

Marxist Communism was a failure of mass proportions.

    So was facism.

    A communist system

The free market left unchecked is also bound to fail as monopolies will develop that will stifle competition and innovation.

A communist system also stifles competition and innovation.

Selfishness left unchecked will result in revoluntion and destruction. (think Russia , China , France etc)

A socially responsible regulated free market system seems to be the best fit for mankind so far.

One in which encourages the indiviual to strife to better themselves whilst taking care of the general population as a whole.

A mix and compromise of left and right ideals is not only possible but thats the way Australia(and most of the west) has worked for a long time.

Their is a happy medium but their are those who will always want it all their way.
