They are not genuinely comparing like for like.
To date, not a single person has been able to show an EV that has price parity, or close enough to it, with an equivalently built/spec'd ICE car.
And if the above is true, then it shows people are happy to be price gouged for substandard Chinese built garbage. Very intelligent.
