No I don’t get your point. Violence is violence is violence and gender is irrelevant. People will commit violence against anyone if they think they have the upper hand. Checkout Mothers belting the crap out of their kids, they wouldn’t try it on with an adult. I spoke to an old friend the other day who I hadn’t seen in decades and he shared with me his struggles in life and how his childhood was marred with extreme violence from his mother. An experience that I encountered myself and I know of many other men who went through the same. If we are serious about violence and DV we need to be quite clear and open about the whole spectrum and not demonise a section of society because it fits the accepted narrative. I accept that women aren’t killing men in the numbers of men killing women but there are deeper issues that need to be addressed as well.
