Miners have joined the lobby for 25% tariff on imported Chinese graphite.
In one corner is the US anode supply hopefuls that can’t get off the ground against impossible Chinese prices VS OEMs that are arguing that graphite should be removed from the FEOC list as it’s a “Low value material”. It’s hard to see Chinas control of >90% of graphite processing changing without tariffs.
