Overall, Martin’s happy with the business performance, with the subdued growth attributed to the current state of the economy. From all external data points, this seems a fair call.

Perhaps in relation to this, in closing Martin was saddened by the comments on Hotcopper. I assume this references posters attributing the share price performance to poor execution and/or board shenanigans?

My sense is PPL has currently become a ‘buy straw hats in Winter’ type of stock. The relative strength of the share price and volume today suggests that its also what the market thinks.
