It may take quite a while but traditional ICE cars will eventually go the way of the horse and cart IMHO, the time of Ev's is very soon approaching but the current sticking points with everyday thinking are recharge time, distance per charge (especially under load) and battery life - enter Anteotech if our current management can't sell our technology in the next 3-6mths we're fuc43d.
Yes you've touched on a very pertinent point here in hydrogen powered cars, I truly think that if they're developed and proven safe then they may very likely be ahead of EV's in the future if EV manufacturers can't convert the current ICE diehards and that will only happen if the above points aren't addressed.
