yet in the last 50 years, as you can see by the charts, DV has reportedly reduced in incidence. obviously progress is being made but the recent spate of knife killings is an artefact that cannot/should not be ignored.
the greater the effort to reduce knife crime and DV, the less damage is done to the community.
I don't know what the extra $1Bn will do. it depends on how it's spent. but clearly the govt support has always been inadequate for the need.
