An article about the russian uranium ban and its anticipated effect on prices.
Cameco mentioned briefly the other day about western uf6 conversion capacity and the potential for gle to relieve some of it. This article mentions the Swu price jump expected to come. If a price of over $160/swu can be sustained or bettered, the margin for enrichers must be huge. You would think that the value of Gle will increase along with that swu price.
It also raises the question of which would be more profitable for Gle? Start on Uf6 or on Leu production?
A nice problem to have. If this pilot demo is successful, the answer may be both, asap.

"Without those waivers, an approximate 20% jump is possible from the current enrichment spot price of $165 per separative work unit to a record high of as much as $200 per SWU, according to Jonathan Hinze, president of nuclear fuel market research firm UxC. Enriched uranium is measured in separative work units, or SWU, which account for the volume and enrichment density of the radioactive metal.“But if there is an immediate ban it could be even more extreme,” Hinze said. “There are very limited supplies available.”
