I don't really understand why people seem to have lost faith because a patient died. They're all going to die. But Monepantel is giving them more life, a lot more. Hard to put a price tag on that, what would you pay for just one more day of having the missus gob you off on the balcony of a hotel in the rue de l'amour? (or however you spend your time)
