    I think Australians are struggling too but it's not due to the supermarkets.

    It's not 6c an item, it's 6% of sales or they make $6 for every $100 spent.

    I agree they likely cheat the farmers but thats only because our government has allowed them to grow to such a big size of market share they can flex their power at them, it wasn't that long ago the supermarkets were dictating what price milk should be sold to them at, bit like standover tactics i suppose however don't forget if they didn't squeeze their suppliers then groceries would be higher in price again.

    I would break up the bi two supermarkets, i don't think any one supermarket should have more than a 20% share of the market as it's very uncompetitive otherwise, too much power in too few hands aswell.
