I respect your opinion, but I disagree. The price of every EV will be increased by a couple of hundred$, - That is necessary because the result will be OEMs and Battery makers incentivised to invest in US anode and graphite producers.
The reason there is nothing locally produced is because China has kept the price so low, no first world company can compete. There will never be any locally produced goods unless the Govt assist in breaking the cycle.
