Further to Bowen politics ….https://minister.dcceew.gov.au/bowen/media-releases/330m-investment-australian-heavy-industry-future
$50m to Albri to slightly reduce emissions from energy use … vs $30M in funding that he axed to eliminate CO2 from Boral MossVale. Remember each tonnes of cement creates aboiut 1 tonnes of CO2
from the reduction process. Energy adds another say 10%. The Boral process would have usedrenewable energy electricity for the kiln … so eliminating that 10% too.
Then again, Albri looks like going ahead with the CO2 capture lime kiln in WA, so perhaps this $50m is a brown paper bag of money for a low quality Adelaide based project was really to keep this very good WA project afloat? However idiots who think this is a good idea should remember that previously the project was committed to go ahead based on just $11m.
It’s a shame voters like you have so little clue. If voters had better knowledge perhaps our pollies would make better decisions.
