Tans, it'll get better with age due to the high tannin (LOL) and alcohol content. If you can keep the temp constant throughout the year it'll keep well in 2 - 3 years but still is it very good drinking atm IMO.

It's an excellent website and all of my friends who know a little about wine, think it's a top drop - quite complex for its age with oodles of cellar potential, yet we are all different and tastes vary so some my not like it. When I come across a wine or vintage I don't particularly like, I still appreciate it always, wondering why I don't... most Aussies will tell you they have found a $20 red that is "good value" - that's about it - it's a crying shame that they don't pause to think why - most don't buy regions or the vintage.

We have some of the best wines in the world here. Many are too expensive and those who do buy them at auction only do so for pretense. They wouldn't even know if its corked or not and in the main, their friends wouldn't know either. I've played some dirty games sometimes with a few who delcare their interest in wine to me in the flesh - most don't have a clue what they are drinking and cannot decipher between them.

Unless people truly appreciate wine, they shouldn't bother paying the dollars but as Len Evans said... "You have only so many bottles in your life, never drink a bad one."
