Imo, those definitions need to be taken on the whole, the overall meaning, and they pretty much fit with what I've been trying to get across, the body as a package is the soul.
And the soul aspects that you appear to be speaking of, is from the brains memory, storage bank, it would seem.

Maybe, as God is Spirit, that the spirit area is in fact the area that you're saying the soul is?
Make man in our image and likeness?
Is the image twofold as in spiritual context and a literal spirit?
There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. The "is" seems to suggest both existing (2 in one) at the same time, the latter is yet to come alive lol?
2 become one flesh, so to speak?
Jesus is the express image of God's person and I see this in the context as in (words), he expressed out the God and Fathers words, making him the express image of his person.
If you heard the words coming from Jesus, he said you have seen (perceived etc Inter) the Father. John 14:10.
