Well, lets US SEE, yes SEE, Jesus's answer to this;
Jesus counters their claim that they mistakenly thought he was making out to be God.

John 10:36 - Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
What does John say he wrote his Book for;
John 20:31 - But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Did John make a whoopsie and forget to say God instead of the Son of God, hmmmmm NAR

Was God with us or would he have been when he dwelt in Jesus, as Jesus says in John 14:10, the Father that Jesus independently of himself defines as the only true God when he was here John 17:3?
