@pintohoo; our pollies think strapping Australians to the USA's warmongering plans for never-ending global domination is the way to go.
Even though we export almost $Nothing to the $USA our pollies have constructed an economy which is dependent on importing US systems and products - we even BAN competitors to US corporations so they can extract even greater profit margins.
From scores of F35 fighter jets to US choppers, US nuclear powered submarines and US missiles pushing our 'for public consumption' Defence Budget out to 2.3% of GDP while enabling multinational corporations to pay virtually $No $Tax on their earnings from Australia we're headed for a 1950s Argentinian Future.
Of course we're also enabling the USA to transform Australia into its forward base of cyber / military operations should it decide to wage war against China, India or Indonesia - making Australians the prime military target and ensuring protection for mainland USA.
