You guys are deluded - still falling for the BS propaganda.
The Yellow Sea would the equivalent of the Tasman (Bass) Strait. If the Chinese had warship going back and forward across it, we would freak out.
And we are ONLY there at the behest of the American; to test their defences.
As to the South China Seas, just have a look at the Claims of Taiwan (Republic of China). They claim even more territories and more islands the Mainland China (People's Republic of China).
Here is their map of their (Taiwan) territorial claim. That's right, they claim every part of the Mainland, large parts of Russia, Japan, all of Mongolia, parts of India, parts of Pakistan, and parts of Burma.
And as the issue of Taiwan (Republic of China). We have already recognized Taiwan is part of Mainland China - under the One China Policy.
And so did the US. Here is the agreement - Carter read it out. We also signed a similar agreement.
Lastly, the ONLY reason we are playing this strategic ambiguity is at the behest of the US. And the US want to play this Uno card so they could provoke a war with China, if Mainland China does not do, as the US demand. Taiwan will be like Ukraine.
That's why we don't give a damn when Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines grab rocks or islands in the South China Seas. But when it comes to Mainland China, the propaganda goes overboard.
I just wish we have more independent foreign policies, and not follow the command of another country. There has been enough of our men and women sacrificed already for the geopolitical interest of others, its time we look after our own backyard.
