"All creatures have a spirit, (Ecc 3:21) but the expression of spirit in the human is called the human soul because humans are endowed with all the attributes of God in finite degrees."

Bible verses that support that the spirit is called the human soul are??? (I'm not saying there isn't any).

1 Thes 5:23 - Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Based on your quote, re fear the ones that can kill the soul and not worry about the body, you separate these two (body, soul) so that claim with the above verse, you should be doing the same = body, soul and spirit are separate?????????

While at it, why does it include the body in that verse ??
Notice also the words -> " your whole", which appears to be, or could be saying, all those 3 are the one package as I've been saying, re the Gens quote as to what a living soul is?
    ------------
"But only the spirit of man (called the human soul) goes to heaven. Look at Ecc 3:21 again."

Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Due to the highlight, that doesn't appear to support or confirm your claim, it's a Duno quote lol.
The spirit returns to God, but that could simply be referring to the breath of life, the likes of what Adam got. (oxygen).
    --------------
" but if you are killed and your soul hasn't recognised Christ, then heaven help you."

Why heaven help you if you say the soul is immortal and at some point you can work your way closer to God, as you've previously said, if I have you correct?
    -------------
"Your quotes John 3:5, John 6:63, 1 Peter 1:23, and Luke 8 clearly point to this reality."

When you take these into account and Jesus's words in John ch 5, he appears to cover two different aspects of the dead coming alive.
First spiritually as the ref here show, which are prepping your for, or part of the way prepped for, some kind of literal raising on the last day, when he comes.

Are you aware of any verses that show, if either you or I died now, that something of us goes somewhere, other than the spirit returning to God?

1 Thes ch 4 - But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

(Keep in mind, in some form some are raised to meet Jesus in the clouds and continue with him to where he is going, here, hence the above quote).???
A bit like when they went out to meet him coming to town on a Donkey, they continued to where he was going.

Re my bold, this is well and truly after Jesus, so if they thought that your soul for example went somewhere, why on earth would there be sorrow???
Something doesn't appear to be adding up Kam wink.png
    -----------
"But Paul went from soul death, to soul life. This is an example of how a soul can go from death to life. This proves the immortality of the soul."

The bold -> I propose to you, only in the sense that you will be raised literally in some form on the last day.
John 5:24, 25 - Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

Rev 6:9 - When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

I would suggest this is symbolic and not literal souls.
A bit like Able's blood was not literally crying out from the grave.
