It is somewhat ironic to think that the Goulamina JV between FFX and Ganfeng was announced a mere three weeks after the 24 May 2021 Malian coup d'état that saw the military junta re-installed (the second prong to their earlier 18 Aug 2020 coup). All this cursed company ever knew was a military junta in command of Mali!
