Not at all Salty.
More often than not the opposite is true. It's all dependent on what the deleterious elements are.
In the case of Fe for instance IE; in Red Bogs, Bauxite over burden, Basalt Clays, in laymen terms it actually proves to be an eccelerant in the First Phase of the purification processes. It excites the solution, and draws with it most of the other contaminates with it's own expulsion.
Of muc more importance is what the contaminantes are, not how much of these are present. Cr., NaCI, for instance are among the most problematic.
I'll be very interested to see just how much 5N HPA was extracted from the 100kg sample. If the company ever divulges it.
One unlisted company that I have much to do with extracts 4-5N HPA at a ratio 10 to1., Bulk Ore to end product. You can take it from me. That is very good!
