The reality is easy to see.. with so many natural gas options across the country, there’s little need to upset the fist shakers who protest about upsetting their pristine beaches, under the guise of climate change, regardless of the reality that the site is a long way off shore from them.
Pep 11 has drawn way too much heat and has a permanent spotlight on it, so why would they continue to shoot themselves in the foot when they can just approve any number of gas options, which are just as rich, elsewhere.
You don’t have to be too politically minded to figure this out. There’s plenty of other gas explorers out there to invest in that don’t come with the heat of this one, IMO.
