Err JAC Group in China have mass produced a vehicle under the brand Yiwei. And yes VW own a 75% JV in JAC Group.

CATL produce their own sodium-ion batteries.




Lots of companies with their own technology producing a safer, cheaper alternative to lithium-ion. Just because they aren't mainstream because Tesla 'made lithium cool' first, doesn't mean these technologies won't be eventually brought to market on a larger scale (as seen above).

Helps to do your research before you post, doesn't make you look so ignorant to the fact that within the next 10 years (ie. just after AGY reach full 12ktpa production), there'll be safer, cheaper and more efficient alternatives be to used along side lithium. Be it hydrogen, sodium-ion or even next-gen water batteries.
