People don't appreciate how difficult it is to achieve 5N at a commercial scale, it's easy to control contamination in a lab environment but when you're moving very abrasive alumina through a plant you see wear on screws, conveyors, ducting, refractory bricks etc, so keeping that metal contamination in control is quite an achievement.
